What this service is

Women's Pelvic Health is a one-hour, hands-on physical therapy session focused on the pelvic floor and everything connected to it — hips, back, ribcage, breath, and abdominal wall.

Pelvic floor PT is for women only at Bremen Pelvic Health. Internal pelvic exams are powerful diagnostic tools, but they are never required. Patients stay in full control of if and when an internal assessment happens.

Who this service is for

  • Pregnant patients preparing for birth or managing pregnancy symptoms
  • Postpartum recovery — vaginal delivery or C-section
  • VBAC preparation
  • Anyone with leaking, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, prolapse, or constipation
  • Athletic women returning to running, lifting, CrossFit, or contact sport postpartum
  • Perimenopausal and menopausal patients dealing with new symptoms
  • Women who have lived with symptoms for years or decades and are ready to do something about it

What a typical visit looks like

The first visit is mostly conversation and assessment, with about half the hour spent on hands-on work. A whole-body movement and breath assessment first — your pelvic floor doesn't live in isolation. Then external pelvic assessment, internal only if and when you choose.

Follow-up visits are the same length, with more time on active treatment and progressive exercise. Most patients leave the first visit with a clear plan and a few specific things to start at home.

Conditions commonly treated through this service

Common questions

Are internal exams required?
Never. Internal pelvic exams are useful diagnostic tools but they are not required at any visit. Many patients stay external for the entire course of care. The patient stays in control of every decision.
What ages do you treat?
Adult women across every life stage — from late-pregnancy birth prep through postpartum recovery, into perimenopause and menopause. The pelvic floor responds to good care at any age.
How quickly will I see results?
Most patients see meaningful improvement in three to four visits. Chronic or complex cases (severe tears, multi-decade dysfunction, complex prolapse) typically take six to eight visits over a few months.
Do I need a referral?
No. Georgia direct access means you can book without a doctor's referral. Insurance is not required either — Bremen Pelvic Health is cash-pay with HSA/FSA accepted and superbills provided after every visit.
Can I bring my baby or kids?
Yes. The treatment room has space for a stroller, and Dr. Nicole — a three-time mom herself — is genuinely comfortable with kids in the room. Many postpartum patients bring their babies.
