What this service is

Orthopedic physical therapy is the foundation of this practice and Dr. Nicole's clinical home for twelve years. She earned her Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) credential through the APTA in 2017 after a year-and-a-half residency through IAMT — fewer than ten percent of practicing physical therapists hold a board specialty.

Sessions are one full hour, one-on-one, with hands-on manual therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue work (including ASTYM where appropriate), and movement and exercise prescription. Open to any age and gender.

  • Knee, ankle, and foot conditions

Why orthopedic foundation matters for pelvic floor patients

Most pelvic floor problems don't live in isolation. The pelvic floor connects to the hips, the lumbar spine, the abdominal wall, and the breath mechanics of the ribcage. A clinician who only looks at the pelvic floor is missing most of the picture.

Dr. Nicole's decade of orthopedic experience plus her pelvic certification means every patient gets a whole-body assessment. The leaking, the pelvic pain, the prolapse — they almost always have an orthopedic component.

What a typical visit looks like

The first visit is a full evaluation: history, movement assessment, hands-on assessment of the area you came in for plus everything connected to it. About thirty minutes of education and thirty minutes of hands-on treatment.

Follow-up visits stay one full hour. Manual therapy and joint mobilization, ASTYM and soft tissue work where appropriate, and progressive exercise prescription. You leave with a clear plan of what to do at home between sessions.

Pricing

$125 per one-hour session. Same rate for evaluation as for follow-up. Cash-pay (no insurance billed directly), HSA and FSA accepted, superbills provided after every visit for out-of-network reimbursement.

Common questions

Do you treat men?
Yes. Orthopedic PT at Bremen Pelvic Health is open to any age and gender. Vestibular, dry needling, and wellness services are also open to all. Pelvic floor physical therapy at this practice is for women only.
What is OCS and why does it matter?
OCS stands for Orthopedic Certified Specialist — a board certification through the American Physical Therapy Association. Fewer than 10 percent of practicing PTs hold a board specialty. Dr. Nicole earned hers in 2017 after a year-and-a-half orthopedic residency through IAMT.
Do you treat post-surgical patients?
Yes — rotator cuff repairs, joint replacements, ACL reconstructions, and other post-surgical rehab. Coordination with your surgeon is built into the plan of care when needed.
What about chronic pain?
Chronic pain that has not improved with insurance-driven care is one of the most common reasons patients come in. The full-hour, one-on-one model is what makes meaningful work on chronic conditions possible.
Do I need a referral?
No. Georgia direct access lets you see a physical therapist without a doctor's referral for orthopedic, pelvic, and most other services. Dry needling is the only exception — that requires a physician referral per Georgia state law.
